WWF Raw is a wrestling game based on the television show of the game name, the flagship program of the World Wrestling Federation. The player can control any of the forty-five WWF superstars, including The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Triple H, and others. The game features a tag team mode, in which four wrestlers can compete with. New WWF logo appearance After you or the CPU selects an opponent, a screen with Jerry 'The King' Lawler and Vince McMahon sitting down at the announcers table will appear. To easily unlock all arenas, enter season mode. You do not have to play as one wrestler in season mode; just after or before a PPV save and exit season mode. When you enter back in season, choose a different wrestler. As you go through season mode and into PPVs, you do not have to win to unlock the arenas. Just go through the match types with no interference, rest, steal, etc., and go into your match. Try and get counted out. If you want to try to win fast, get your opponent counted out by beating him/her outside the ring and go into the ring at the last two seconds. Unlocking all costume samples and superstar FMV sequences quicklyUse multi-players (a multitap if you have it). Set up season mode for two or more players . Play or get disqualified from the match your chosen superstar is in, and for the rest choose 'Steal'. Always steal several times from each superstar for a show. Each superstar has two costume samples and one FMV sequence that you can steal. Use your multi-players to steal from more than one superstar at a time, and try to do it in an order or you will get confused as to whom you have already stolen from. You will have to go through the first year of the season mode to steal from all the superstars. However, it is worth it to get all these things unlocked. When the message 'You have stolen dirty laundry' comes up, you have stolen everything from that superstar and can move on to the next one. After the costume samples are unlocked, you can use them for your created superstar. Also in season mode, successfully steal items from characters. Each character has two sample costumes that can be unlocked for CAW mode. For example, successfully steal an item from HHH to unlock HHH's ring costume. Steal from HHH again to get his backstage costume. Additionally in season mode, when you do an interference, surprise attack, steal, etc., and succeed, there will be a 50% chance you will get new Create A Superstar abilities. Note: If you rest and you do that successfully, you will not get anything; you will just raise your vitality/spirit.
View custom soundtracks
Select the 'Create A Superstar' option at the main menu. Choose a superstar to edit, then select 'Entrance' at the bottom of the options. Next, go all the way down to 'Entrance Music'. Press R a few times and you should see the soundtracks (if any) that you have placed in your Xbox.
Alternate costumesEvery superstar has two appearances. The first one being ring attire and the second being backstage attire. If you create a superstar and are planning to put them in a season, you might want to create a second appearance (for example, something casual or formal). Otherwise your superstar will be running around backstage as the generic create a superstar character (even when your superstar is female).
Changing costumesA lot of wrestlers have alternate costumes in the create a superstar section. For example, Big Poppa Pump's patriotic tights, HHH'S jean jacket, etc. To change these costumes, go to create a superstar and select the desired superstar to change. Go to their appearance. Then, select costume and go through all the types and textures. Select the one you want. You also can change the color.
Doing specialsSpecials are based on the meter on the bottom of the screen. Doing different moves will build this up, eventually turning it bright red. Once this is at maximum red, specials can be performed by pressing X + A in a grapple. Some moves require different situations. For example, for Goldberg's Spear, grapple your opponent while he/she is on the ropes, then proceed to press X + A. Note: Doing the same move repeatedly, such as punches, will decrease your bar and turn it blue.
Perform Standing Special/Finishing MoveWhen your Voltage meter is flashing up and down with the red lines, grapple with A, and press A + X at the same time. This will do Triple H's Pedigree, for example.
Undisputed ChampionWin both the WWE Championship and the World Championship to be dubbed the 'Undisputed Champion'.
Momentum by chairHave a 'set up' chair between you and your opponent. Run towards the chair (with your opponent on the opposite side) and press Black to use the chair for additional momentum. Some wrestlers clothesline, some dropkick, etc.
Interfere forget themWhen a superstar is entering the ring, repeatedly press X when they are on the ramp. Note: This does not work with superstars such as Undertaker, who is riding a motorcycle.
Easy season mode winsDo a move with anyone . Then, do a submission move. Finally, press Start and quit (return to the main menu). You will win every time.
Easy Cage match winsGrapple your opponent and hold a direction on the D-pad while pressing Black to smash your opponent's head into the cage.
Win surprise attacksSurprise attacks can always be won if you press Start and return to previous menu. This works if you surprise attack someone, or if they surprise attack you.

Brock Lesnar's Shooting Star PressOnce you have your Voltage meter up, Irish Whip your opponent into the turnbuckle. Make sure he is facing you when he is stuck on the turnbuckle corner. Grapple him and Press X + A to do Brock Lesnar's Shooting Star Press.
Goldberg's SpearOnce you have your Voltage meter up, punch your opponent near the ropes. When their hands are trapped in the ropes, grapple them and press X + A. Goldberg will Irish Whip them to the other ropes and Spear them.

Stupid AISet up a one on one singles match. Make both characters CPU controlled. When the CPU fights itself, the characters may get caught in a repetition of acts. When a character is in the ring and a character is outside, they will both go after each other with the same timing. Thus, one character goes after the one in the ring, while the other character goes after the one outside the ring repeatedly.
During season mode, the wrestlers with whom you have a beef with can interfere during some of your matches. However, they tend to attack your match opponent instead of you once the enemies run into the ring. The only way they will attack you is if you attack them.
If someone interferes and you hit the interfering wrestler with a weapon, you are the one that gets disqualified.
Sometimes when you Irish Whip an opponent and it seems as although they are against the ropes, they still look like they are running for several seconds.
Super punch:
Press [Right + Y + B] four times or [Y + B + Up] four times on the copyright screen. A grunt will confirm correct code entry. An opponent may now be defeated after two punches.
Wrestle same character:
Select a two player game and have player one choose a character. Press Up + R + A on controller two and have player two select the same character.
Return to Rumble:
Press A + B + X + Y after being thrown out of the Rumble to qualify to return to the ring. Alternately, press Select.
Alternately, When tossed out of the ring at a Royal Rumble Match hold L + R + Select. The sound of a bell will confirm correct code entry.
Continue in Tag Team match:
Hold Select if your wrestler is tossed out of the ring in a Tag Team match. The next wrestler will enter to take his place.
Special appearance in Tag Team match:
Hold L + R and press Up, Down, Left, Right, Select during the match. Another person will appear in the ring to fight player one.
Trade characters in Tag Team match:
Have a CPU controlled partner in Tag Team mode. Press L + R +Select during a Tag Team match. The sound of a bell will confirm correct trick entry. You and the CPU will trade character control. This works very well with Double Teaming. You can keep switching players so that player one is always the stronger wrestler. This also works for Bedlam mode.
White Doink The Clown:
Use 1-2-3 Kid's mega-move (Froggy splash from top rope by holding L and pressing Up, Up, Up, A when on the back turnbuckle) with Doink The Clown.
Orange Bam Bam Bigelow:
Use 1-2-3 Kid's mega-move (Froggy splash from top rope by holding L and pressing Up, Up, Up, A when on the back turnbuckle) with Bam Bam Bigelow.
Black and yellow Luna:
Use 1-2-3 Kid's mega-move (Froggy splash from top rope by holding L and pressing Up, Up, Up, A when on the back turnbuckle) with Luna.
Super pin:
Wait until your opponent's power is all the way down. Knock him down and stand above him. Then hold L, and press Up, Right, Down, Left, X (when playing as Diesel), or X (when playing as Yokozuna or Bam Bam Bigelow).
People's Elbow:
This move can be done by any wrestler. Make your opponent lay in the middle of the ring. Then, make sure you are directly above him. Hold Y, then bounce off the ropes twice. When you come to the downed wrestler, press B.

Hold A + B (or X) while on the top rope. Then, press Up(3), A.
Turnbuckle to Turnbuckle
Hold A + B ( or X) and press Up(4). Release A + B, then press B.

Moonsault

Play as Bret or Owen Hart in a one-on-one match and beat up your opponent until they have no energy left. Then use their finisher The Sharpshooter. The ref will continuously wave his arms, which tells you the wrestler is tapping out. Try again if it does not work the first time.

Highlight a wrestler at the character selection screen. Enter one of the following controller actions to alter the corresponding wrestler's statistics:

Lex Luger: Catch the referee in a Running Forearm maneuver and he will stay down permanently.
Yokozuna: Use a Cannonball Splash off the top rope and the referee will fall but get right back up.
Hint: 2 on 1 match with the nWo:
Choose a Bedlam match, set it on level 10, and press the Start button after you choose your wrestler. Then, pick Razor Ramon and Diesel as your opponents. Razor Ramon is the modern Scott Hall and Diesel is the modern Kevin Nash, whom together became part of the New World Order. The New World Order in this game is as dirty as the modern one.
Glitch: 1-2-3 Kid ghost:
Note: This trick works in Bedlam mode or Tag mode (if referee is unconscious). One player must be 123Kid or another wrestler that can do his mega move. When playing as 123Kid, knock your opponent down, and do the mega move while the other player punches. When playing as another wrestler, trap an opponent in a corner, punch to 9, get down, back up, and keep punching. 123Kid will get stuck in mid-air, and become a ghost.
Glitch: Stuck referee:
You can make the referee quit in any mode except for survivor series, tournament, or a raw endurance match. Knock down the referee several times. He will throw his arms and exit the right side of the ring . If you leave him alone, he will leave the arena and the match will become a brawl. Instead, head him off at the guardrail and punch him until he shakes his head. He will then walk back to the ring but it will appear that his pants will be caught on the steps, preventing him from re-entering the ring. If you and your opponent(s) enter, then exit the ring, he will begin a count. If you are counted out, you will lose. If your opponent is counted out and you are in the ring, the game will freeze. If you are Bret Hart or Owen Hart and you use the Sharpshooter inside the ring, the referee will wave his arms to stop the match. If you pin your opponent inside the ring, the referee will not count. If your opponent pins you, your wrestler will be stuck and you will have to quit the match by pressing Start, Select. Note: You can not pin outside the ring. You can still inflict physical pain on the referee.
Glitch: Chair in the ring:
This is best done with 2 players, as you can do many tricks with it, and it is difficult to do with the CPU. Take your wrestlers into any match that you can be pinned. Bedlam is the best. Toss either opponent into a corner and proceed to climb the ropes and beat them. Have your teammate drop-kick your wrestler off your opponent while you are punching them in the corner. The less energy they have, the better. Once you have been drop-kicked, grab the chair. Your teammate should now run directly into the person lounging in the corner. You will pop back up into the ring, chair in hand. The chair will hover outside the ring still, but you can still smack opponents with it.

You can also use the chair in the ring glitch to perform finishers anywhere, and make combos. Note: Doing this while your teammate is being pinned results in an unbreakable pin. If you do a move to an opponent while they are being pinned, it will make the same thing happen, but when they are counted out you can roll off the pin.
Double Throw: Have your teammate throw your opponent out of the ring. With you are alone in a grapple by the opposite ropes, throw him again. He will go flying again.
The Nasty: Use Owen or Brett Hart and do the Sharpshooter. Just before the move actually begins (when they sit on the other person's rear) do the L.

This trocl is best done with two players, or Bam Bam Bigelow. To break a grapple with somebody else in it, poke them with the chair. Poking the opponent is recommended. You can also do this with BamBam Bigelow's mega move, but it is not as accurate and chances are good that you will hit your teammate at least a few times. Once the opponent has been poked out of the grapple, your teammate is alone in a grapple, and can then perform any move to your opponent at any time.
